Ethical Travel Agent Standards of Practice

✦ All client payments are applied directly to their travel arrangements.

✦ A detailed invoice will always be provided within 7 days of payment.

✦ A credit card authorization form and appropriate documentation will always be required at the time of payment. Where applicable, written and memorialized communications serve as sufficient authorization for any purchases.

✦ Client personal information is protected with the utmost care and every reasonable precaution.

✦ Contact information for my host agency is always available to clients upon request for identity verification purposes.

✦ Upon request, any bookings will be released directly to the vendor.

✦ All required licensing, legal, and contractual obligations pertaining to my travel business are maintained at all times and provided to clients upon request.

✦ I do not represent myself as a travel insurance expert. General information and a copy of any proposed policy are always provided for client review, with detailed questions referred to the insurer directly.

✦ Seller of Travel numbers for my host agency are included in all communications and advertisements for the duration of my active contract with them.

✦ Clients will always receive accurate information regarding my experience, training, and qualifications.

✦ In the event of any issue or concern, clients are encouraged to reach out directly via the contact information provided at the time of booking. Should a response not be received within 14 days of a financial transaction, clients are directed to contact the following in order: myself first, as correspondence may have been missed; my host agency; the attorney general or appropriate governing body of my state of business; and the Better Business Bureau.

✦ Any issues or concerns regarding a transaction will be addressed with full documentation within 7 days of a client's request.

✦ Current contact information, including legal name, address, email, phone, and all relevant personally identifiable information, is maintained with my host agency and any applicable local, state, and federal entities as required by law, policy, or contractual obligation.
